Course Highlights

Three day course covering topics on basic knee and shoulder arthroscopy. More emphasis on practical hands-on training via various workstations (optics, triangulation, knot tying, suture management etc.) and cadaveric training. All imparted by experts in the field of arthroscopy.

Course Objectives

To impart knowledge of basic knee and shoulder arthroscopy, with more emphasis on development of practical / psychomotor and triangulation skills via hands-on dry model and cadaveric workstations. At the end of the course, each delegate will be confident to perform knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures.

  • Three Days Course
  • Day 1 & 2 : The scientific programme will cover topics related to basic knee and shoulder arthroscopy via interactive lectures, live surgeries and video sessions. Topics included would be related to basic arthroscopy of knee and shoulder including topics related to ACL, meniscus and labral pathology. The practical skill development programme will include various workshops for learning optics, triangulation, suture management, knot tying, handling of suture anchors and dry knee / shoulder bone model stations for hands-on practice.
  • Day 3: Hands-on cadaveric workshop: knee and shoulder. Round table discussion with faculty.
  • CDs of various knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures would be provided to delegates for their future reference
