Course Highlights Course Highlights:

  • The course is about learning the basic concepts for the understanding and treatment of deformities.
  • It is not about using a fixator or particular implant for the correction of deformities.
  • Terms and concepts such as Mechanical Axis vs Anatomic Axis, CORA, LDFA, MPTA, etc. will become clear after this course.
Course Objectives Course Objectives:At the end of the course, the delegate should be able to:

  • Describe the axes and angles in a normal lower limb
  • Plan a simple diaphysial deformity
  • Plan a simple metaphyseal deformity
  • Plan a Multiapical deformity with the concept of a 3rd line
  • Discuss advantages and disadvantages of various implants in a given case
  • Create a surgical tactic to carry out the plan.
