  • Each module will take up a specific pattern of fracture, give it anatomical consideration, deforming forces, preoperative planning, management options, show a Video of recorded surgery done by an expert and allow the delegates to redo the steps on specially customized anatomy models.
  • Discuss in detail the various patterns of ankle fractures, learn to plan the management preoperatively. To be judicious in selecting various implant options understanding the nuances of local & imported implants
  • Discuss complex trauma of foot involving tarsal bones and systematic approach to their management.
  • Discuss management of common tendon pathologies from degeneration to rupture (Achilles tendon, Tibialis Posterior)
  • Discuss briefly various footwear options available commercially and give outlines for footwear selection for our patient population.
  • Day 1 focusing on detail discussion of basic ankle fracture
  • Day 2 will have modules on tarsal bone fractures, tendon pathologies and footwear (orthotics).
  • Lectures, handouts, Bone models.
  • Management of all basic ankle and foot trauma, diagnose common foot and ankle cold conditions like Achilles pathologies & flat feet.

It needs to be noted that any course of the BOS may be cancelled or postponed or its program may be altered / modified depending upon the situation prevalent in the country in view of the COVID 19 infection, rules and regulations by the Central Government, State Government, Municipal Corporations of the cities in which the courses are held and the institutes in which the courses are conducted.

The Bombay Orthopaedic Society will try and intimate the course delegates in advance in such circumstances. However, it may not be possible for the BOS to intimate or inform the delegates in reasonable time, in case the courses need to be cancelled at a shorter notice.

In such a case, the rules of course fees refund will apply. The BOS or its Executive Council cannot be held liable and responsible for any financial losses, which may result due to course cancellation including travel expenses, residential and logistical expenses. Such Expenses shall not be reimbursed to the delegates.
